How to Apply Blush
Blush comes in both powder and creams. Women with drier skin, may prefer the cream for hydration purposes. This is usually
applied with the fingertips for better control, while powder is applied with a loose, round brush. You might like to experiment with both, to see
which is easier for you, or which gives the better results.

Beauty routines vary. Some prefer to put their blush on last, while others leave the eye makeup until last, as that tends
to be more time-consuming.
There are two approaches to where the blush goes and how to find it. The first is to smile, so that your cheek produces that lovely roundness.
This will be your starting point, and if you lay a finger vertically in the center of this roundness, you'll find that it is about the center of
the eye. Alternately, you select that mid-eye point as your start, and emphasize where the bone is, by sucking in your
cheeks.
Dip your brush in the blush, and tap gently on the container, to knock off excess. Start in the center of the round area,
and brush smoothly along the cheekbone, and up into the hairline. Be sure to bring it a little over the bone, but not down into the hollow of
your cheek. Cream blush should be dotted sparingly from the center of the roundness along the cheekbone to just before the hairline. Use your
fingertips to smooth and blend this along the bone.
Blush should be chosen to go with your natural skin tones, and the lipstick you're using. However, if you find it stands out too much, many women
will take their translucent powder and dust over the blush to soften the look. There are also women who tend to have natural high color in some
areas of their face, such as the middle of the cheek. In this case, with carefully matched blush, you can apply only what you need to the bone
leading up to the hair line, so that it blends into your own skin tone.
