How to Choose a Blush
Remember that your skin tone is directly related to your natural hair color, and choosing any face makeup is pretty much
dictated by that inter-relationship. When looking for a blush color, you're going to want one that goes with your natural skin color. Think of
what your cheeks look like after vigorous exercise. That is your most intense natural color, and can give you an idea of what shades to look
for.

As a rule of thumb, those with light skin tones should look in the lighter ranges, and dark skin tones in darker shades.
This is basic makeup sense, because going to the opposites, will just make the splotches stand out on your cheeks instead of blending in and
highlighting your cheekbones.
Blush can also be related to your natural lip color. If you have pale, rosy lips, you're going to be looking at a pink, coral, or even peach
blush. Women with darker colored lips wearing wine or deep red lipsticks should be checking out complementary blushes in the red to burgundy
grouping.
Ideally, a makeup consultant is one of the best people to assess your skin tone for makeup that suits it. But if you choose
to do the selection yourself, remember that it looks different in the package than on your skin, and when trying different shades, check them out
under natural light if at all possible.
