How to Choose a Perfume
Perfumes can be as much an expression of personal style as your clothes can, just in a different "scents". You may choose
one type of scent, or variations on a type, to wear for all occasions. Or, dare to be different by changing your fragrance entirely, according to
where you are, or what you're wearing.

The basic classifications of scent include the following: Floral, which should be light and not cloying, and is a favorite
of all age ranges. The idea is to leave a hint of the natural essence of jasmine, lily of the valley or other blossoms.
Fruity perfumes are also light, and tend to have a zing or dashing scent that lends itself to wearing for sports, and
active lifestyles.
Forest essences replicate rain, clean air, and a combination of the scents of Nature, making them suitable for almost any
time of day or event. Wood/spice perfumes, or the heavy floral scents are primarily for evening wear, when you are free to make a dramatic
statement, and not offend anyone with whom you may have to work in close quarters.
With perfume, less is often better, with only a single touch to the pulse points behind your ears, on the inside of your
wrists, and each side of your neck. Alternately, some women prefer the "all over" scent of spraying their perfume in the air, and walking through
it. This will leave a pleasant, light aura of the scent as you pass by others.
Remember that fragrance is a personal choice, and that neither the strength of your scent nor the quantity applied, should extend beyond your
personal space, to become a problem for those who are sensitive to fragrances.
